Highly professional Family Office Desktop Support Technician needed to oversee all IT and A/V needs of a 25-person family investment office located in Dallas, Texas. This person will handle all aspects of technology for the employees of the family office and also for the globally well-respected and very busy CEO and his family.  Locations in Dallas and at several other family-owned properties located in other cities. The right individual must have demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing technology-related services.

Travel is also required when appropriate to install and service IT and A/V equipment and projects at remote locations.

20-30 hours per week

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an IT support role
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to discuss technical problems in non-technical ways when necessary
  • The ability to coordinate specific projects with IT peers at a related firm, as well as with non-technical team members.
  • The ability to react quickly to critical needs and re-prioritize projects to accommodate changing circumstances.
  • A flexible schedule and a willingness to travel
  • Patience and critical thinking skills in order to identify the root causes of problems in order to prevent future issues
  • A willingness to ask for help in unfamiliar areas and the ability to utilize support when needed
  • Experience evaluating, selecting and managing IT or A/V service providers
  • Monitor and administer necessary security updates
  • Manage new phone system integration
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Desktop Support – Microsoft Office, Printers
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Mobile device experience

  • Windows 7/8/2008/2012
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • MAC and PC knowledge
  • Cisco technology
