The HR Manager's primary responsibility will be the oversight of all field and remote employees.  The role will report to the HR Director and will assist the Director with all HR related activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to HR Director and Executive Management for improvement of Company’s policies, procedures, and practices on employee related matters.  

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures Company compliance

  • Communicates changes in policies and procedures and insures proper compliance is followed

  • Assists HR Director and Executive Management in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary program(s)

  • Assists in coordinating all benefit programs, including leading the benefit renewal process

  • Responsible for all strategic recruiting efforts and on-boarding of new field employees while also assisting with HQ employees 

  • Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separation

  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the HR Director or Executive Management on employee matters

  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities regarding their staff

  • Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development

  • Develops and maintains a human resources system

  • Participates on committees, and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities

Experience, Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years HR generalist experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • HR experience in oil/gas industry preferred 

  • PHR or SPHR preferred
