Our Dallas law firm partner is hiring and has an opening for an experienced full-time Legal Assistant in their Dallas Office, supporting the Tax practice of a top producing partner.

Primary duties:

  • Providing legal administrative support to top producing partner in the tax litigation section
  • Document preparation and revision
  • Draft and revise correspondence
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Review monthly billing memos
  • Open, manage and maintain client files/filing
  • Assist partner in managing calendar deadlines and appointments
  • Some travel arrangements


  • Minimum 5 years litigation experience
  • Must have solid working knowledge of litigation procedures
  • Ability to calculate court deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in E-filing documents in Federal and State Courts
  • Experience in trial preparation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
  • Some overtime may be required on short notice.  

Qualified candidates must possess strong initiative, demonstrating an ability to resolve issues/problems independently, have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently as well as in a team setting and have the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at a time.  Other essential requirements for this position include the ability to communicate in a professional manner to develop rapport with clients; maintain strong working relationships; exhibit meticulous attention to detail; handle confidential and sensitive information; and possess strong proofreading, transcription and typing skills.
