Are you a global compensation expert?  Love assisting global companies as they expand and grow into new geographies and ensuring they are offering appropriate compensation?  Our privately owned, global marketing services company is in need of a Director, Compensation.  If you have experience in broad based compensation globally, with experience building job architecture, and a high EQ, we want to talk to you!  Sales commission experience and executive compensation a plus.   

The Director, Compensation will serve in a highly visible role as a strategic human resources business partner, leading the overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the global compensation programs. 


  • Drive global compensation practices and programs to attract and retain talent while supporting the business
  • Identify market trends, monitor competitiveness of programs, model cost implications and recommend innovative and effective compensation programs and solutions
  • Lead development of metrics and dashboards to guide decision making
  • Assist business leaders with compensation practices, workforce dynamics, and solutions development
  • Act as an internal consultant to business units on all compensation practices; identify emerging workforce trends related to compensation and develop innovative solutions
  • Oversee the development and administration of global salary structures, base pay programs, and hourly pay programs, to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Manage global and country specific projects (ie. bonus programs, salary structures, recognition programs, etc.)
  • Align Compensation and Performance Management programs with business strategy
  • Manage global compensation budget through development and delivery of planning tools and partnership with all levels of leadership
  • Lead compensation communication, training and education programs
  • Supervise a team of professionals, providing leadership that includes: team development, process improvement, project guidance, metrics reporting, compliance, governance, policy recommendation and interpretation, and partnership with all areas of the organization

  • 5-7 plus years of compensation experience
  • Experience leading global compensation team in matrix organization
  • Experience with a global company
  • Expert level skills with Microsoft Excel, including understanding and use of VBA
  • Leadership in design and implementation of Compensation and global base, incentive and variable pay programs for a large, complex company
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong facilitation, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a global team


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Human Resources  Advanced degree is preferred
