Mudderella teamsMom Corps is heading to Mudderella, official supporting sponsor of Mom Corps YOU, this year, and we couldn't be more excited to have you join us! Learn more about this great event below:

What is Mudderella?
Mudderella events are 5-7 mile long, muddy obstacle courses, designed by women for women. Mudderella is not a competitive race - it’s a chance to challenge yourself and have fun with your friends!

At Mudderella we believe in three truths:
  1. You’re stronger than you think you are.
  2. There’s more to life than going to the gym.
  3. You deserve an awesome experience.
When is Mudderella?
There are six Mudderella events this year:
  1. NY/NJ: Saturday, May 10
  2. Chicago: Saturday, May 31
  3. Boston: Saturday, September 6
  4. Detroit: Saturday, September 13
  5. Virginia: Saturday, September 20
  6. SoCal: Saturday, October 6
Why should I participate?
Mudderella is all about teamwork and stepping outside of your comfort zone. Mudderella encourages participants to Own Your Strong, taking pride in your inner and outer strength.

Mudderella is also a proud supporter of Futures Without Violence, a national non-profit dedicated to preventing domestic violence and providing support for those affected by it. Mudderella participants are encouraged to help raise funds and awareness by sharing their strong!

How can I get ready?
Mudderella is an awesome day in the mud and a great chance to get your friends together. It is also a true athletic challenge. With 12-15 obstacles across 5-7 miles, it’s important to train -- but don’t worry, our 3-month and 6-week programs will help get you ready, no matter your starting point!

You can follow the Mudderella Training Program found on Mudderella.com, or incorporate new moves into your current workouts. For example, if you spend lots of time running, try adding in some upper and lower body strength exercises. If you’re already spending time building muscle, add in cardio.

What do I wear?
Since you’ll be running through lots of mud, it’s important to be comfortable, but it’s also important to be functional! Wear light weight or compression clothing and an old pair of sneakers (or sneakers you don’t mind washing!).
