Working Families for a 21st Century Workplace
  • 0 Comments
This spring, the White House, the Department of Labor and the Center for American Progress will host a Summit on Working Families to focus on creating a 21st century workplace that works for all Americans. To build momentum for the White House Summit on Working Families on June 23, the Department of Labor will host regional forums in cities across the United States in April and May. The Summit will convene businesses, economists, labor leaders, legislators, advocates and citizens for a discussion on issues facing the entire spectrum of working families, including workplace flexibility, equal pay, workplace discrimination, worker retention and promotion, and childcare/early childhood education. The goal of these forums is to discuss policy solutions that can make a real difference in the lives of working families and ensure America's global competitiveness in the coming decades, as well as to offer a glimpse at business and worker experiences with various types of paid leave and provide education on the Administration's goals for working families.

Mom Corps is proud to attend these events to explore how we can help companies and employees alike work better in the 21st century by strengthening our nation's workplaces to better support working families. You can learn more about these regional events and register here.
