Mom Corps YOU Featured Military Spouse Job Seeker - Leanne M.

Name? Leanne M.

Where are you from? Fort Worth, Texas

Why did you join Mom Corps YOU? I joined Mom Corps in hopes of finding a job that could work around my schedule as a stay at home mother of two.  My husband works so hard, not only to serve our country, but to provide for our family, and it would be wonderful if I could aid him with our finances.  It is difficult to job search and deliver resumes with two babies, this is the initial reason Mom Corps caught my attention.

Why are you currently looking for a job? I am in search for a position that would allow me to work primarily from home, so I may continue raising our children.  With that position, I would be available most anytime, days, nights and weekends.

What's your work/education background? I studied four years in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Arizona State University, and am still in pursuit of my degree.  Customer service is a field that I have worked in for the past twelve years, of which I have held managerial positions.  Excellent customer service is a key ingredient in any successful business.

What would be your dream job? My dream job would be one in which I could work in the customer service field from the comfort and accessibility of my own home.  I enjoy making people happy, which makes customer service and relations the ideal field for me.

What should a potential employer know about you? I would like potential employers to know that I am hard working, reliable, personable, and an excellent multi-tasker. I am a team player and will do whatever it takes to bring my co-workers and myself to the next level.  With these tools, I know I can be an excellent asset to any company.

Wh at have been your unique challenges as a military spouse? I take great pride in being a military spouse, and am willing to bend and mold my life to wherever the Marine Corps may send my husband next.  However, the greatest challenge being a military spouse is starting over every few years.  It is difficult to network and plant roots in an area that you are only in for a short period of time.  Relocating to a new city where you do not know anything about or anyone there is certainly an obstacle in regards to finding a job.

I am so grateful to have found Mom Corps, to help make this adjustment and place countless employment opportunities at my fingertips!  Thank you, Mom Corps!
