Employers, I have bad news for you…. CNBC just reported that hiring is at its highest level in 13 years! In the professional and business services industries, the growth rate is 28%. Why is that bad? It’s going to be really, really hard to find good people.

I want that feeling where being on the same team with the same mission is loud and clear. I’ve been fortunate to experience this before and there’s nothing better.

I “get the job done”, on time, under budget and am known in my professional circle as the “Olivia Pope [from ABC's Scandal]” of problem-solving and “handling” complicated issues with ease.

My time as a military spouse has been the best and the worst experiences in my life. Making and saying goodbye to friends, living on base and then leaving the bubble of the base and starting the civilian life again have been difficult.

My dream job entails working in a fast-paced, dynamic organization where my marketing skills and business acumen would be a valuable addition to the strategic decision-making and development of innovative marketing, sales, and/or business initiatives. It would be an organization where employees are passionate about what they do, yet also know how to have fun, and job performance is judged on quality and productivity rather than total hours spent in the office.

I am a military spouse relocating to MacDill AFB next month. I am seeking to help map a career path and advance my career. I have been on maternity leave for almost a year and need a little confidence to get back in the job market. I hope to still advance my career even with the sacrifices as a military wife and mother.

I have worked in law enforcement, as a police officer and detective, for 14 years. I am also currently a Crisis Negotiator with our area SWAT team and the Evidence/ Property Room Custodian for my police department. I have a Master of Science degree in Legal Studies: Law & Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice & Policy Studies. I have also worked as a paralegal and have a paralegal certificate. I genuinely love all things legal/law and would enjoy a paralegal or legal assistant position again.

I am interested in finding a less than 40 hour per week job. As my children our getting into elementary school, I am finding it more and more difficult to balance work and home. I enjoy working but want to put my kids first.

I am an Air Force spouse currently stationed at Joint Base Charleston. We PCSed last year. Before we moved, I had a steady job with a decent income. After moving, I couldn't find a job for months and after that, the only job I could get was minimum wage. I'm one of those people who hates not working. I desperately want to find a job that gives me more meaning and a better income so I don't put all of the financial burden on my husband. I have worked in several different fields with computer knowledge, management experience, and great customer service skills. I want this not only for me, but for my family to have a better future.

I closed my business, sold my home on South Beach and moved to rural Tennessee where I don't know a soul so that I could afford to provide a safe environment for my aging father (90 yo). After several months here, he decided that he hated it and went back to Florida where he is now in assisted living, something I never wanted for him, but he seems completely content. So, I'm not a "mom" except to my two rescued cats and my two rescued dogs. I gave up what I needed to give up to provide for my aging parent and if given the choice again, I would do nothing differently. My job prospects here are bleak, but the quality of life it provides me and would have provided my father are worth the things I gave up.

While I have had some time away from HR/Recruiting, my skills are still present and even enhanced from various life experiences. I love being able to make that great match for a candidate and a job. I'm excited for an opportunity to contribute to a company again.
